History
In 1999 we saw a lack of educational and technological services available to single-parent families who desired to improve their quality of life but lacked the resources to achieve their goals. To overcome these obstacles, Education Based Housing was formed and combined three basic components; education, housing, and job skills training.
In 2022, Education Based Housing became Empower Community Development Corporation, reflecting an expanded commitment to strengthening communities through resident-centered programs and services. Through partnerships with local organizations, Empower CDC brings impactful programs and resources directly into the communities we serve, removing barriers to access and opportunity.
